    • For many Nissan radios, look for stickers with barcodes on the side or back of the unit

Nissan Radio: Code Entry

Here's how to enter the unlock code for a Nissan car radio:

  • Turn on the radio, which should display "CODE" or a similar message requesting the security code.

  • For most Nissan radio models:

    • Use the numbered preset buttons (1-6) or the volume / tuning knob to enter each digit of your code
    • On models with preset buttons, press the buttons that correspond to your code digits in sequence
    • Some models require you to use the seek / track buttons (forward / backward) to select digits and the volume knob to confirm
  • For newer Nissan radios with digital displays:

    • Use the tuning knob to scroll through numbers for each digit position
    • Press the sound or audio button to confirm each digit and move to the next position
    • After entering all digits, press and hold the audio or main control button to confirm
  • On some Nissan models (especially older ones):

    • Press and hold radio preset buttons 1 and 4 simultaneously
    • While holding them, turn the radio on
    • Release the buttons when prompted for the code, then enter it

If you enter an incorrect code, most Nissan radios will display "ERROR" and allow you a limited number of additional attempts. After several failed attempts, the radio typically locks for a period (usually showing "WAIT" followed by a countdown timer).
